Wil Myers finishes Padres' comeback

by Chris Zolli | Wed, Jun 8th 8:08am EDT

Wil Myers finished 2-for-4 with a run scored, stolen base, walk, and game-winning RBI for the Padres against the Braves. Myers is a scolding hot 14-for-30 to open the month of June, smashing seven extra-base hits while scoring nine runs and driving in nine runs. He has an .804 OPS this season.

Fantasy Impact:

In the midst of a span where he has hits in eight of his last 10 games, Myers has multi-hit games in seven of those games and now has a .290 batting average this season. Now a 1B, Myers' seven stolen bases from the position add more value and he is a sneaky top-10 player at a loaded position. One piece of caution is that Myers' hard hit ball percentage is 33.5%, down from a 34.8% average, and his BABIP is .335, higher than his .322 career average; these are telltale signs that he may be a bit lucky. Myers is 0-for-3 with a walk against Julio Teheran in his career and has an .808 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season.
