Jaime Garcia allowed five runs in 4 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Reds, and did not factor into the decision. He gave up 13 hits and one walk, striking out three.
Fantasy Impact:
It wasn't long ago that Garcia was one of the surprise standouts of the season, but his ERA and WHIP are now all the way up to 3.89 and 1.34, respectively, and his K rate has slipped. He's at the point where he's a fringe starter in mixed leagues based on matchups. His next start comes at home against the Astros, where he can probably be started if you're desperate.
