Matt Harvey with his best start of the season on Friday at Milwaukee

by Nick Ritrivi | Sat, Jun 11th 9:34am EDT

Matt Harvey turned in his third quality start in a row going six innings against Milwaukee on Friday night. It was also Harvey's best start of the season. Harvey allowed only two hits, two walks and one earned run in his six innings of work. He also struck out eight. Harvey didn't factor into the decision, however, as the Mets eventually won in 11 innings 2-1.

Fantasy Impact:

It appears whatever mechanical flaw the Mets discovered in Harvey's delivery four starts ago was the root of his pitching issues to start the season. While Harvey's fastball velocity was slightly down a tick on Friday, his slider, two seam fastball and curve were all sharp and locating well. Owners should feel comfortable starting Harvey without reservation going forward. He will next face the Pirates at home on Thursday.
