Justin Verlander allowed five hits and a walk for only one run in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Yankees. Verlander went 6 2/3 innings, striking out five and walking only one. Aside from the lower strikeout total, this was Vintage Verlander.
Fantasy Impact:
Verlander has found himself a groove over his last 10 starts, allowing only four or more runs twice. His ERA has dropped from 5.79 to 3.77 as he's gone 5-4 in that stretch and has struck out 10 three times.
