Adam Eaton fuels White Sox rally

by Chris Zolli | Tue, Jun 14th 8:03am EDT

As the White Sox erased a 7-0 deficit to the Tigers in a 10-9 extra-inning win, Adam Eaton finished 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI, including the game-winning single driving in J.B. Shuck in the bottom of the 12th inning. Eaton also walked and the five times reaching base marks his top output for the season and a potential reversal of future after he opened June with a .233 batting average. He has a .741 OPS this season.

Fantasy Impact:

Eaton was hitless for his previous three games, so this output was a pleasant surprise, especially with his weak start to the month. Fantasy owners look to Eaton as a sleeper, but his bat needs to wake up, as he has seven hitless games in 11 contests this month. He is 0-for-3 against Jordan Zimmermann, the Tigers' starter on Tuesday, and only has a .696 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season.
