Freddie Freeman hits for cycle

by Chris Zolli | Dodgers Correspondent | Thu, Jun 16th 7:08am EDT

Freddie Freeman went 4-for-7 and hit for the cycle on Wednesday, driving in a run and scoring two runs. Freeman has nine extra-base hits in 50 at-bats this month, showing that he is regaining his power, and has a .280 batting average in June. He has an .810 OPS this season.

Fantasy Impact:

After posting a .775 OPS in April and .741 OPS in May, Freeman has warmed up to a 1.007 OPS in June and should continue to regain his top-10 1B status. The Braves do not score a lot of runs, evident by the fact that Freeman only had one RBI while hitting for the cycle, but Freeman's hot bat, eight hits in four games, could ignite the offense. He has never faced Dan Straily, the Reds' starter on Thursday, and has an .815 OPS against right-handed pitchers this season.
