Adam Wainwright goes seven strong innings in no-decision

by Dan Harris | Thu, Jun 16th 9:43am EDT

Adam Wainwright threw seven innings of shutout ball on Wednesday against the Astros. He gave up four hits and three walks, striking out six. He did not factor into the decision.

Fantasy Impact:

Wainwright has really turned his season around in June, pitching to a 1.80 ERA and 0.80 WHIP with 21 Ks in 20 innings. Wainwright looks to have finally found the proper mechanics, and can be trusted with confidence going forward. His next start will be against the Cubs in Chicago, one of the toughest matchups for a pitcher, and it will be a good test to see just how far Wainwright has come.
