by Chris Zolli | Fri, Jun 17th 8:27am EDT

Ian Desmond finished 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs, and a solo home run for the Rangers against the Athletics on Thursday. He now has a .371 batting average, seven extra-base hits, 10 runs scored, and 12 RBI in June. Desmond has an .867 OPS this season.

Fantasy Impact:

With his 10th home run of the season, Desmond became the third player this season, with Mookie Betts and Jose Altuve, to have double-digit home runs and stolen bases, as Desmond has stolen 12 bases in 2016 as well. He now has three straight multi-hit games, and six in his last ten games, seeing his batting average jump to .314 in his first season with Texas. The Rangers will face Michael Wacha and the Cardinals on Thursday and Desmond is 1-for-9 with four strikeouts against the right-handed pitcher in his career.
