Jose Bautista was placed on the 15-day disabled list after hyperextending the big toe on his left foot on Thursday night. (Sportsnet)

No timetable has been set for his return. Owners must sit tight and hope for a quick return. Joey Bats was hitting .230 with 12 home runs and 41 RBI, prior to his unfortunate injury. Ezequiel Carrera is expected to get the majority of playing time in right field and at the top of the Blue Jays batting order going forward.
