Matt Harvey takes a step back against Braves on Friday

by Nick Ritrivi | Sat, Jun 18th 10:55am EDT

After three impressive quality starts, Matt Harvey took the mound at home against the Braves on Friday in what, on paper, looked like a favorable matchup. Harvey, however, lasted only six innings allowing seven hits, four earned runs and two walks in losing his ninth game of the season. The Mets fell to the Braves 5-1 and Matt Harvey's record fell to 4-9 (4.76 ERA).

Fantasy Impact:

After three great starts it was certainly a step in the wrong direction for Harvey against a poor hitting Braves team. Harvey will try to get back on track in his next scheduled start against Atlanta, this time on the road. Owners should keep him active for that start despite Friday's poor outing.
