Logan Forsythe homers in the ninth, Rays still lose
by Mike Werner | Sat, Jun 18th 8:50pm EDT
Logan Forsythe did his part to help the Rays try and mount a comeback against the Giants by swatting a solo home run in the ninth inning. The Rays however weren't up for the challenge as they were defeated by a score of 6-4.
Fantasy Impact:
The home run was Forsythe's lone hit in five at-bats on the day, and was his first since returning from his fractured shoulder. He's gone 10-for-37 (.270) with four extra-base hits in those eight games, which brings his season line to .299/.377/.507 with five home runs, 15 RBI, and 21 runs scored. He'll continue to be a focal point of the Rays offense, and should provide more production as his shoulder starts to heal up even more in the coming weeks/months. He's certainly mixed league worthy.
