Jay Bruce collects two hits in loss

Bruce went 2-for-5 at the plate in the Reds 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Astros on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
With two hits Saturday, Bruce has strung together a modest five-game hitting streak and raised his season average up to .274 which is well above his career .249 mark. Bruce's BABIP has settled in around .300 this season, after two straight seasons below .270. The improvement is fueled by an increase in hard contact this season (39.4%). If Bruce can continue making hard contact then his BABIP and batting average should continue to exceed his career mark.
