Aroldis Chapman earns a win

by Chris Zolli | Pirates Correspondent | Thu, Jun 30th 7:21pm EDT

Aroldis Chapman pitched a scoreless top of the ninth inning, allowing a hit and striking out a batter, and moved to 2-0 on the season after the Yankees earned a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth. Chapman has allowed at least one run in three of his last eight appearances, but is still 15-for-16 in save opportunities. He has a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts in 21 innings this season.

Fantasy Impact:

Even with his rough patch, where he allowed two home runs in a save as well, he still has six saves and two wins in his last 10 appearances. Even though he missed the first 30 games of the season, he is still 10th in the American League with his 15 saves and his 13.71 strikeouts per nine is nearly in line with his career 15.32 strikeouts per nine.
