Gio Gonzalez loses in minimum quality start
by Roy Widrig | Wed, Jul 6th 8:50am EDT
Gio Gonzalez dropped to 4-8 on the season after dropping Tuesday's 5-2 game versus the Brewers. Gonzalez allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks over just six innings, throwing 102 pitches in the effort. Gonzalez struck out four but only had two runs of support to work with.
Fantasy Impact:
Gonzalez has been quite bad since mid-May, with the Nats losing eight of his nine starts since. Going into Gonzalez's May 23 start, he had posted a sparkling ERA of 1.86 which has now ballooned up to 4.79 as he's gone 1-7 in that span.
