Craig Kimbrel injured his knee running before Friday's game and is awaiting the results of an MRI, the Boston Globe's Pete Abraham reports. (Pete Abraham on Twitter)

The issue cropped up on Kimbrel pregame. He underwent an MRI on Friday, the results of which the Red Sox will get on Saturday. Do not be surprised if Kimbrel misses the All-Star game as the team will be cautious with his injury. If Kimbrel does go on the DL, expect newly acquired Brad Ziegler to get the save chances.
