Max Scherzer allowed one run (no earned runs) in seven innings against the Mets on Saturday, allowing only three hits and two walks. Scherzer now has quality starts in eight of his last 10 starts, allowing one earned run or fewer in six of his last seven starts. He has a 3.03 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in 2016.

Scherzer is 10-6 this season and is top-five in the National League in innings pitched (127 2/3) and WHIP (0.96) while leading the league with 164 strikeouts. He had a bit of a rough stretch early, seeing his ERA jump to 4.05 after his May 27 start, but has solidified himself as a top-five SP.
