by Chris Zolli | Sun, Jul 10th 6:59pm EDT

Stephen Strasburg allowed one run on two hits in seven innings against the Mets on Friday to end the first half with a 12-0 record and 2.62 ERA. Strasburg has now allowed only two hits in 13 2/3 innings since returning from the disabled list on July 3 and has 132 strikeouts in 106 2/3 innings this season. He is on pace for his second 200-strikeout season and 22 wins in 2016.

Fantasy Impact:

Strasburg has finally become the SP1 that fantasy owners assumed that he would become eventually, ranking top-10 in the National League in wins (12), strikeouts (132), WHIP (1.01), and ERA (2.62). He also has averaged 104 pitches per start, the most of his career, signalling that Dusty Baker and the Nationals are looking for him to go deeper in the game.
