Gio Gonzalez gets the win on Sunday
by Bobby Doll | Mon, Jul 11th 3:13pm EDT
Gonzalez didn't make it through six innings, but was credited the win after giving up two runs on four hits and four walks. Gonzalez was typically inefficient, needing 108 pitches to record his 17 outs.
Fantasy Impact:
Gonzalez limps into the All-Star Break with a 4.70 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP and has only pitched seven innings twice in his 18 starts. Bottom line, he has not been effective in the slightest. Only his strikeouts are helping fantasy owners, but his negatives heavily outweighs the positives.
