Carlos Beltran plays in the All Star Game

by Craig Rosenkrantz | Fri, Jul 15th 10:05am EDT

Carlos Beltran went 0-for-1 in the All Star Game as the American League beat the National League 4-2. Beltran, who has been dealing with a lingering hamstring injury, says that he's ready to return to right field when the second half begins on Friday

Fantasy Impact:

Carlos Beltran on the season is hitting .299 with 19 homers and 56 RBI. Beltran aggravated his hamstring on June 28, which moved him to the DH role for the remaining games leading up to the All-Star break. Moving back to right field will open up more options for manager Joe Girardi, who will now be able to get Alex Rodriguez more at-bats for the Yankees.
