by Kerry Kauffman | Sat, Jul 16th 10:37pm EDT
The Phillies improved to 43-49 with a 4-2 win over the Mets on Saturday. Ryan Howard got the start over Tommy Joseph and delivered with a home run in the second inning. He now has 13 home runs and 28 RBI on the season, although is batting just .160.
Fantasy Impact:
Howard is averaging a home run every 16 at-bats, but has struck out 71 times and walked only 16 times in 206 at-bats. With a dreadful .218 on-base percentage and less than stellar .597 OPS, Howard is on pace for his lowest number of at-bats in his Major League career.
