Jon Lester went 7 2/3 innings Monday against the Mets allowing only one run. Lester walked three and struck out three leading the Cubs to their first win over the Mets this season.
Fantasy Impact:
Lester allowed one run in his outing Monday against the Mets dropping his ERA to 2.89. This was a nice bounce back game for Lester after he allowed 13 earned runs in his past 4 1/3 innings which spanned two starts. The veteran Lester is having one of the overall best years of his career and should continue to provide solid fantasy numbers going forward as he looking like a lock for 200 IP and 200 strikeouts.
