Jhonny Peralta sidelined by thumb injury

Jhonny Peralta was held out of the Cardinals' starting lineup on Monday due to his lingering thumb issue. He's experiencing discomfort in the thumb that was surgically repaired this spring.
Fantasy Impact:
It's not good news to see this issue lingering. The Cardinals will likely take it easy with Peralta in order to get the most out of him that they can this season. There were expectations that the thumb injury could impact his 2016 season, so hopefully owners have made other plans. He's struggled to a .674 OPS this season.
