James Shields pitches well in loss to Detroit Thursday

Shields went six innings allowing two runs. He gave up seven hits and a walk while striking out four. He pitched well overall but gave up two solo HR and a lack of run support doomed him in a 2-1 seven-inning defeat.
Fantasy Impact:
He has had some bad starts early with the White Sox and also some strong outings but he is 2-6 with the team this season. He has the talent to end up being a good pitcher going forward so if you can get him cheap enough, he could pay off later after a time on your bench to monitor the direction he goes in.
