David Price gives up five runs in no-decision

by John Aubin | Sun, Jul 24th 7:41am EDT

David Price didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's loss to the Twins, giving up five earned runs on 11 hits and two walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

Fantasy Impact:

This was not one of Price's better outings as he fell behind early in the count frequently, notching first-pitch strikes on only 13 of 27 hitters and inducing a mere seven swinging strikes. Price continues to be wildly inconsistent, after a dominant start before the All-Star game. He has now given up 11 hits in each of his two starts after the break. Hopefully, Price can right the ship in his next start which will come against the Angels on Thursday.
