Aroldis Chapman

Aroldis Chapman likely to be traded

Aroldis Chapman may be on his way out of New York, as the Yankees are opening discussions on their star closer. In the same report, the Yankees also said that they are not open to trading Andrew Miller. Chapman is 20-for-21 in save opportunities and has a 2.01 ERA in 31 games this season. Fantasy Impact:

Chapman could be headed to Washington, Chicago, or even San Francisco, with top prospects headed back to New York. The 28-year-old is a top closer and would stay a top closer if he goes to any of those teams, so this shouldn't be too much of a change for fantasy owners' strategy. One caution for fantasy owners is that if Chapman is traded to Chicago, there may not be as many save opportunities, as current Cubs' closer Hector Rondon only has 21 opportunities this season.
