Aroldis Chapman on verge of being traded to Cubs

by Chris Zolli | Pirates Correspondent | Sun, Jul 24th 8:11pm EDT

The second major trade of the trade deadline seems imminent, as the Yankees are poised to move Aroldis Chapman to the Chicago Cubs for top prospect Gleyber Torres. Chapman was rumored to be on the radar of teams like the Nationals and Indians before Chicago aggressively offered their best prospect. He has a 2.01 ERA and 20 saves this season. Fantasy Impact:

Fantasy owners will need to consider cutting bait on Hector Rondon, as the Cubs are ready to trade one of their top prospects to get a new man for the ninth inning. Before fantasy owners rejoice, remember that Rondon and Chapman had the same amount of save attempts, despite the fact that Chicago has a better record than New York and that Chapman missed 30 days. Also, those that are looking for the potential new man in New York, pick up Andrew Miller, who already has seven saves this season.
