Ian Desmond went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in the first inning off Athletics starter Daniel Mengden to go along with three strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
Desmond is having an excellent season for the Rangers, as he sports a .310/.361/.523 slash line to go along with 19 home runs, 23 doubles, 60 RBI, 71 runs scored and 16 steals through 99 games played. With his 19th home run tonight, Desmond matches his home run total from 2015 and has a great chance to beat his career high of 25 home runs from 2012. Desmond has provided a mix of power and speed this season to go along with nice fantasy position flexibility at shortstop and outfield positions.
