Brandon Belt went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI against the Reds on Monday. Belt has a .217 batting average, five extra-base hits, seven runs scored, and seven RBI this month. He has an .876 OPS.
Fantasy Impact:
Belt only had three hits in his previous nine games, so Monday's outing was huge, as his batting average had plummeted from .302 to .278 over those nine games. Cold spell aside, Belt still has 1B/OF eligibility, 43 extra-base hits, and a .388 OBP this season, making him a serviceable option either at 1B or as an OF2.
