A.J. Griffin picks up first win since April

by Mitch Cox | Sat, Jul 30th 1:46am EDT

A.J. Griffin allowed three hits and two runs over 5.2 innings to pick up the win in the Rangers 8-3 victory over the Royals on Friday. Griffin walked two and struck out one in picking up his first win since April 26.

Fantasy Impact:

Griffin has not pitched particularly well since coming off the disabled list late last month. At 5.2 innings, this was his longest outing since his return as he continues to throw far too many pitches per inning. Tonight, Griffin needed 98 pitches to get through the 5.2 innings.
