David Ortiz leaves game after fouling ball off shin

David Ortiz has been taken for X-rays after he fouled a ball off of his shin in the ninth inning of Thursday's game and needed help off the field, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports. General manager Dave Dombrowski indicated Wednesday night that Ortiz has avoided a fracture and is considered day-to-day (Pete Abraham on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The injury looked bad at first and Ortiz could not walk off the field without help. He will more than likely miss Thursday's game against the Yankees and there should be news on how many days he will be out coming soon. But it looks like Ortiz will avoid the DL and be day to day.
