Pedro Alvarez had a big day at the plate on Thursday, going 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI. The Orioles went on to beat the A's 9-6.

Alvarez has been on fire at the plate over the past month, batting .267 with nine homers and 13 RBI. He is still widely available in most fantasy leagues and is worth picking up if your team is lacking in the power categories. He has a plus matchup against Matt Cain scheduled for Friday.
