Hanley Ramirez was placed on the bereavement list following Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports. The bereavement list allows for three days off, meaning Ramirez could return as late as Thursday's game against the Tigers. (Jason Mastrodonato on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
For fantasy owners in weekly leagues, it would be wise to sit Ramirez this week, as he will miss at least the three games. Ramirez had started to heat up, hitting 4-for-11 with two homers over three games after a cold stretch. Hopefully, he can pick up where he left off when he gets back.
