According to writer Marc Carig, Yoenis Cespedes finished 0-for-3 in a minor league game. He had an RBI groundout. The veteran outfielder is on pace to return to the New York Mets on Friday. (Marc Carig on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
The Mets desperately need Cespedes' bat in the lineup. With Jay Bruce in the lineup, Cespedes and Bruce could be a great 1-2 punch for the rest of the year. Cespedes should have many RBI opportunities as the Mets try to stay in playoff contention.
