Stephen Strasburg placed on the disabled list

Nationals ace Stephen Strasburg has been placed on the disabled list with a sore elbow but the move is a precautionary one. This is to make sure he is healthy for the playoff run. The Nationals have called up AJ Cole to start Monday night. (Joel Sherman on Twitter)

Stephen Strasburg has been fantastic this season recording a 3.59 ERA, 15 wins, 1.10 WHIP, and 179 strikeouts in 145 innings pitched. The loss of Strasburg can be detrimental to anyone's fantasy, especially those making a push for the playoffs. You will not be able to find anyone to match Stephens production but it is possible you could get lucky with a waiver add if you play your cards right.
