Carlos Correa sets up Friday comeback

by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Twins Correspondent | Sat, Aug 27th 1:31am EDT

Holding at shortstop during Friday evening's 5-4 walk off win over the Tampa Bay Rays, Carlos Correa went 1-or-3 with a drawn walk and a late 9th inning home run, his 19th of the season. That long ball tied the game up. Along with two fly outs, Correa has risen has average back up to .271 and OPS back up to .830 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Posting a very solid stat line of .259/.323/.407 over the past seven games coming into Friday's matchup, the reigning AL Rookie of the Year and top-five consensus ranked shortstop is keeping up with the clutch hits coming. So much so, that he probably doesn't even know the meaning of the phrase "sophomore slump." Fantasy owners can keep confidently starting Carlos Correa going forward.
