Chris Sale went the full nine innings, striking out 14 batters, while walking none. Sale gave up three earned runs, on five hits. Unfortunately, Sale was pitching opposite Felix Hernandez, who shut down the White Sox offense. The Mariners prevailed over the White Sox 3-1.
