Ryan Howard homers in loss to Nationals

The Philllies fell to the Nationals on Tuesday by the score of 3-2. The only runs for the Phillies came off the bat of Ryan Howard, who belted his 20th home run of the season. He finished 1-for-3 and is batting .196 for the season.

Howard has reach 20 home runs for the last ten seasons. While his batting average and on-base percentage is low, Howard is averaging a home run every 13.8 at-bats. Although Howard doesn't play every day, he can still provide teams with much needed power.
