Chris Sale allowed two runs on eight hits in eight innings, striking out 11 batters and walking one, but losing to Ian Kennedy and the Royals. Sale is 0-1 with a 2.94 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in September, striking out 20 batters in 16 innings. He has a 15-8 record this season and will face the Royals on September 16 in Kansas City.

Fantasy Impact:

Sale has allowed two runs in eight innings in three consecutive starts, striking out 40 batters in his last four starts. Even though he has pitched so well, nine quality starts in his last 10 starts, he is only 1-5 in his last 10 starts. Current Royals have a .766 OPS in 390 career at-bats against Sale and he is 7-4 with a 2.55 ERA on the road this season.
