Max Scherzer allowed two runs on seven hits, striking out eight batters and walking two on Friday against Atlanta. Scherzer is 2-0 with a 1.74 ERA and 1.11 WHIP in September, striking out 21 batters in 20 2/3 innings. He is 17-7 with a 2.78 ERA this season and will face the Marlins on September 21 in Miami.
Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer has won five of his last six starts and has not lost since August 9. He is 7-1 with a 2.39 ERA in the second half, striking out 95 batters in 83 innings. Current Marlins have a .742 OPS in 242 career at-bats against Scherzer and he is 11-4 with a 3.23 ERA on the road this season.
