Jacoby Ellsbury dealing with knee injury

by Blaine Blontz | Mon, Sep 19th 10:25am EDT

Jacoby Ellsbury suffered a bone bruise in his knee over the weekend and will be evaluated early this week. He's considered day-to-day. (Yankees.MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact:

It's unclear how long he'll be sidelined, but there seems to be a real chance he's done for the season considering the end is approaching. Ellsbury registered over 500 at-bats, which is an accomplishment considering his injury history, but he hasn't been overly effective with the Yankees in 2016. For fantasy owners he was a decent option considering he proved useful in nearly all categories, though with no eye-popping totals.
