Freddie Freeman goes 4-for-5 as Braves defeat Syndergaard, Mets

by Steve Painter | Dodgers Correspondent | Mon, Sep 19th 10:56pm EDT

Freeman extended his hitting streak to 23-games and hit his 31st home run of the season tonight as the Braves beat Noah Syndergaard and the Mets, 7-3, at Citi Field. For the season, Freeman's stat line stands at .302/.397/.566.

Fantasy Impact:

Why the sudden surge in his numbers? It lies mostly with the addition of Matt Kemp in the lineup batting behind him. It has been stated before, but if Freeman played on a better ballclub he'd be in the MVP conversation every year. Look for him to continue raking in 2017 and beyond.
