Brandon McCarthy allowed four hits, two earned runs, walked one, and struck out six in 5 1/3 innings Sunday against the Colorado Rockies. 57-of-79 pitches were thrown for strikes.
Fantasy Impact:
This was McCarthy's first start since August 13th. The one walk allowed was a good sign, as he had walked 5 batters a game the past three starts. Rich Hill and Clayton Kershaw are scheduled to start in the season-ending series with the Giants, so McCarthy could be in-line to start the third game.
