Freddie Freeman extends hitting streak to 29 games Tuesday night

by Steve Painter | Dodgers Correspondent | Wed, Sep 28th 6:11pm EDT

Freeman went 2-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored as the Braves beat the Phillies 7-6 in Atlanta Tuesday night. One of Freeman's hits was his 33rd home run of the season. He also extended his on-base streak to 45 games. During that span, he is hitting .389 with 15 HRs, 45 RBI, 45 runs, 40 walks, 39 strikeouts, .507 OBP, and a .772 slugging percentage.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman is locked in and owners could not be happier. Those that can should consider him for keeper purposes going into next year despite what will likely be a high cost. Despite his being on a rebuilding team this year he will likely be in the top 3-5 of those getting votes for MVP.
