Julio Urias struck out five in three innings of work

by Stan Son | Thu, Sep 29th 11:20pm EDT

Julio Urias allowed one hit, walked two, and struck out five in three innings Thursday against the San Diego Padres. 35-of-58 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

The 20-year old Urias was as good as advertised. In 17 games, Urias allowed more than three earned runs just twice. He did walk 31 batters, but that's to be expected from a young pitcher experiencing the big leagues for the first time. Urias finished with a 3.39 ERA, 1.45 WHIP with 84 strikeouts in 77 innings. The future is bright for Urias and the Dodgers' starting rotation.
