Chris Sale a top target for the Washington Nationals

With Mark Melancon signing with the San Fransico Giants the Washington Nationals have set their focus on trading for all-star pitcher Chris Sale. (Jon Heyman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The Nationals will have to give up a lot for Sale and if they do, expect Sale to be one of the first pitchers taken in this year's draft. Going from the American league to the National league has proven to be beneficial to any pitcher. For a pitcher like Sale, who was already dominate in the AL, his numbers should only improve to record levels. One main team also in the Sale trade talks is the Boston Redsox and others. If Sale does make the move to the National League I would consider making him one of the top pitchers taken in this year's draft. Sale ended 2016 with 17 wins, 3.34 ERA, and 233 strikeouts in 226 innings.
