Clay Buchholz was traded to the Phillies on Tuesday in exchange for second base prospect Josh Tobias, the Philadelphia Daily News' Matt Gelb reports.
Fantasy Impact:
This was a salary dump for the Red Sox who are over the salary cap after picking up Chris Sale. They are deep in starting pitching and could afford to trade Buchholz and his $13.5 million salary. The move helps Buchholz's fantasy value as he is guaranteed a roster spot and the move to the NL from the AL East may help his stats
