Yusei Kikuchi

Yusei Kikuchi delivered a solid 2024 season, splitting time between the Blue Jays and the Astros. He posted a combined 9-10 record with a 4.05 ERA over 32 starts, accumulating a career-high 206 strikeouts across 175.2 innings. After being traded to Houston on July 29, Kikuchi excelled, recording a 5-1 record and a 2.70 ERA in 10 starts, with 76 strikeouts and only 14 walks over 60 innings. His four-seam fastball averaged 95.5 mph, the highest of his MLB career. However, Kikuchi has been prone to allowing home runs, surrendering 25 in 2024, consistent with his career trend. In November, he signed a three-year, $63 million contract with the Angels.
