Austin Nola (finger) close to getting at-bats at alternate site
Padres catcher Austin Nola is getting close to facing live pitching at the team's alternate site. He's been rehabbing with velocity as he works back from a finger injury.
Duquette added that Nola is not far behind Trent Grisham in his rehab process. For context, Grisham is set to return on Friday against the Rangers. Nola owns a career .271/.347/.461 slash line over two years with the Mariners and Padres. The 31-year-old opened the season on the 10-day injured list and is currently ranked 12th in the latest rest-of-season expert consensus rankings.
