Fantasy Impact: Lambert posted a 5.36 ERA last season as a starter for Colorado. He'll look to compete in Spring Training for a spot at the end of the Rockies starting rotation.

Elehuris Montero had a solid performance in Tuesday's game against the Dodgers, going 2-for-3 at the plate with a home run and one RBI.

Fantasy Impact: Despite his efforts, the Rockies fell to the Dodgers by a score of 11-2. Montero's season-long stats show a decent batting average of .243 with 35 RBI and eight home runs in 79 games played. While his strikeout rate remains high, Montero has shown some power potential and could be a valuable asset in deep fantasy leagues. However, his lack of stolen bases and low walk rate limit his overall fantasy value.

Ryan Feltner had a rough outing against the Dodgers on Tuesday, allowing five earned runs on six hits and one walk over just three innings pitched.

Fantasy Impact: With no strikeouts and a loss, Feltner's fantasy value takes a hit as his season stats now include a 5.82 ERA and a 1.68 WHIP. Although he has shown flashes of potential with a 7.9 K/9, his inconsistent performances make it difficult to trust him moving forward. Fantasy managers may want to consider benching Feltner until he can string together some more solid outings.

Noah Davis had another rough outing on Friday, allowing three earned runs over five innings pitched against the Cubs.

Fantasy Impact: With this performance, Davis now has a disappointing 8.77 ERA and a 1.91 WHIP for the season. Despite his 7.71 K/9, his 5.67 FIP and 1.69 strikeout-to-walk ratio indicate that his struggles may continue. Additionally, his .378 BABIP suggests that he has been unlucky, but his overall performance leaves much to be desired. Fantasy managers should be cautious about relying on Davis moving forward.

In a stellar performance against the Giants, Chase Anderson showcased his potential as a fantasy asset, tossing 7 hitless innings while racking up 7 strikeouts.

Fantasy Impact: Despite issuing 5 walks, Anderson's ability to keep the Giants off the board and contribute to a 3-2 Rockies victory is a positive sign for his fantasy outlook. Prior to this game, Anderson had struggled with a 6.00 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP over 15 starts, but this outing could be a turning point for him going forward. With an improved strikeout rate of 6.8 K/9 and a 1.97 strikeout-to-walk ratio, Anderson has the potential to provide value in fantasy leagues if he can build on this impressive performance.

The Colorado Rockies have outrighted shortstop Cole Tucker to Triple-A Albuquerque. (Source: MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact: Tucker was recently designated for assignment but will remain in the Rockies organization at the Triple-A level. He has made just 10 trips to the plate with the Rockies this season, going 4-for-8 with a walk and a hit-by-pitch in that time.

Justin Lawrence had a strong outing on Tuesday, earning a save in the Rockies' 6-4 victory over the Cubs.

Fantasy Impact: In his lone inning pitched, Lawrence allowed no hits and only one walk while striking out two batters. This performance adds to his already solid season stats, which include a 3.97 ERA, a 1.29 WHIP, and an impressive 9.0 K/9 rate. With 11 saves and six blown saves, Lawrence has been a reliable option out of the bullpen for fantasy managers this season.

Chris Flexen's struggles continued on Tuesday as he allowed nine hits and three earned runs over 5.1 innings pitched against the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact: With a 7.22 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP on the season, Flexen has been a major disappointment for fantasy owners, and this outing did little to inspire confidence in his ability to turn things around. With only one win in 13 starts and a lackluster 6.8 K/9, it's difficult to trust Flexen as a viable fantasy option moving forward.

By Brenton Kemp

Rockies infielder Alan Trejo is back in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Braves. (Source: MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact: Trejo gets the nod at second base due to the late scratch of fellow second baseman Brendan Rodgers. It's been a very rough season at the plate for Trejo who is hitting .235 with two homers, four steals, and a .614 OPS across 184 trips to the plate.

Rockies utility player Harold Castro is not in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Braves. (Source: MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact: Castro started at second base and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout while driving in the club's lone run with an RBI groundout in the fifth. It's been a tough season as the plate for the former Tiger who is hitting .259 with one homer, one steal, and a .599 OPS across 92 appearances.

The Colorado Rockies have released OF Jurickson Profar. (Source: Patrick Saunders on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Profer’s release comes as the Rockies are calling up Hunter Goodman from Triple-A Albuquerque. Profar has struggled this season, slashing .236/.316/.364 with eight home runs and 39 RBI in 111 games this season.

Brenton Doyle had a forgettable performance in Tuesday's game against the Rays, going 1-for-4 at the plate with no RBI, runs scored, or extra-base hits.

Fantasy Impact: However, he did manage to swipe a base, showcasing his speed on the basepaths. This lackluster outing is consistent with his season-long struggles, as Doyle has struggled to find consistent success at the plate, evidenced by his .189 batting average and high strikeout rate. Fantasy managers should approach Doyle with caution, as his limited offensive production and inconsistent playing time make him a risky option in most formats.

With a low strikeout rate of 4.17 K/9, Blach's high ERA and WHIP, along with a low strikeout-to-walk ratio, make him a risky option in fantasy leagues.

Fantasy Impact: Blach's limited fantasy value is further diminished by his inconsistent performances.

Rockies catcher Austin Wynns is in the starting lineup Wednesday versus the Brewers. (Source: MLB.com)

Fantasy Impact: Wynns didn't start on Tuesday night, although he did strike out with the bases loaded in a pinch-hitting plate appearance. He will get the start on Wednesday afternoon while he's hitting just .197 with one homer and one steal across 69 plate appearances in a Rockies uniform this season.

By Brenton Kemp

The Colorado Rockies have traded reliever Brad Hand to the Atlanta Braves. (Source: Ken Rosenthal on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Hand, 33, is enduring his worst season since being converted to a full-time reliever in the 2016 season. The left-hander owns a 4.54 ERA in 40 outings but his 3.82 SIERA and 26.1% K% suggest that he could see some improvement in an environment not named Coors Field.

The Colorado Rockies traded Randal Grichuk to the Los Angeles Angels. (Source: Jeff Passan on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: The Angels also acquired C.J. Cron from Colorado and sent minor league pitchers Jake Madden and Mason Albright to the Rockies. The Angels continue to make a push for the playoffs this year as they hope to re-sign Shohei Ohtani this offseason.

The Rockies have traded Pierce Johnson to the Braves for a pair of minor leaguers. (Source: Mark Feinsand on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Johnson previously worked as the Rockies closer, recording 13 saves on the season. Raisel Iglesias should remain the Braves closer with Johnson also working in the back end of the bullpen for Atlanta.

The Colorado Rockies are moving pitcher Connor Seabold from the rotation and into the bullpen. (Source: Patrick Saunders on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Seabold didn't make this decision particularly difficult on the Rockies, posting a 7.18 ERA across 20 appearances, 13 of which were starts. However, each of his last 13 outings came as a starter after beginning the season out of the bullpen. Peter Lambert has been recalled to take Seabold's spot in the rotation.

The Rockies activated LHP Brent Suter from the injured list Wednesday. (Source: Mark Feinsand on Twitter )

Fantasy Impact: Suter was placed on the injured list in late-June with a left oblique strain. The 33-year-old left hander is drawing trade interest after compiling great numbers prior to the injury. Suter has a 2.81 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP in 31 games this season.
