Had his offseason not been surrounded by drama and trade rumors, James Harden would be a top-three pick, but unfortunately, the Rockets' long-term plans are muddying the waters in projecting where Harden will play this year. His streak as a three-year scoring champion could easily be extended this year, especially with Russell Westbrook out of the picture. The risk of not playing this year is the only reason he isn't higher in these rankings. Dave Kluge - FantasyPros | Bradley Beal quietly finished the season with 30.5 points per game, second-highest in the league and a personal career-best. In addition to his step forward as a scorer, Beal logged a career-high 6.1 assists per game. With Russell Westbrook joining the team, it can certainly cut into Beal's production, but I expect Beal to lead the team in scoring as Westbrook plays second fiddle. At just 27-years-old Beal is still developing as a player and we can see him reach superstar status here in his ninth year as a pro. Dave Kluge - FantasyPros | |
Beal has been a solid fantasy option for most of his eight-year professional career, but he erupted last season. He did the best he could to put a broken down Washington team on his back, scoring over 1,000 points more than any of his Wizard teammates. He trailed only James Harden in scoring average, racking 30.5 points per game. His role will likely diminish with the recent addition of usage hog Russell Westbrook, but Beal still figures to be a top fantasy option at guard. Aaron Larson - FantasyPros |
